Documented science / process
- Chemical vapor deposition on nickel and early metal catalysts produces few-layer films that can be transferred. Quality is not yet the later copper-monolayer story (2009).
- Electrochemistry, epitaxial graphene on SiC, and liquid-phase work all run in parallel. There is no single “the graphene process.”
Industry
Patent activity on platelets, inks, and composites is visible. Distinguishing a platelet company from a CVD-film company is already necessary and often skipped in coverage.
