Documented science

• Novoselov, Geim, Morozov, Jiang, Katsnelson, Grigorieva, Dubonos, Firsov, Nature 438, 197 (2005) — two-dimensional gas of massless Dirac fermions in graphene.
• Zhang, Tan, Stormer, Kim, Nature 438, 201 (2005) — experimental observation of the quantum Hall effect and Berry’s phase in graphene.

Together with [[timeline/2004]], these papers are why Wallace’s 1947 bands ([[timeline/1947]]) stop being a graphite approximation and become a measured monolayer spectrum.

Claims in the air

Popular write-ups already say graphene will transform electronics. The measurements are magnetotransport on small cleaved flakes. No foundry process exists.
